JOS, Nigeria, Nov 30 (SPA) - Sporadic bursts of gunfirerattled the central Nigerian city of Jos on Sunday as thesecurity forces tried to prevent more clashes between gangs in which hundreds of people have been killed, Reuters reported. Rival ethnic and religious mobs have burned homes, shops,mosques and churches in fighting triggered by a disputed localelection in a city. A Red Cross worker said on Saturday he had counted 218bodies awaiting burial in the building.
