Jeddah Ihsanoglu also expressed his confidence that the dialogue would lead to fostering Palestinian national unity and empowering the Palestinian people to safeguard their national achievements and protect their holy places. The dialogue, the OIC Secretary General pointed out, would allow Palestinians to gain their inalienable rights to freedom and independence and establish their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital. He called on various Palestinian factions and forces taking part in the dialogue to keep up the constructive work in a serious and positive spirit needed for the success of the dialogue until national concord on all issues is reached. Ihsanoglu emphasized that Palestinian factions need to move promptly to form a national unity government to put an end to the state of divisiveness, lifting the blockade, and jump-starting the reconstruction of Gaza in the aftermath of the destruction caused by the Israeli aggression.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/639787
