Seoul, South Korea ,October 27, SPA --Working-level military officersfrom North Korea and South Korea met Monday to discussimproving their lines of communication amid strained tiesbetween the divided nations, officials said. It would be the second official talks between South and NorthKoreas since conservative government was inaugurated in Seoul in February, Associated Press reported. On Monday, the sides met in a location inside thedemilitarized zone bisecting the Korean peninsula, said WonTae-jae, a spokesman at the South Korean Defense Ministry,during a media briefing. He did not provide details, sayinghe would brief the results of the meeting later in the day. Earlier Monday, ministry officials said the sides plannedto discuss how to overhaul and upgrade militarycommunication lines between the countries.
