TEHRAN, Iran, October 12, SPA -- Mehdi Karrubi, an Iranian cleric hasannounced he will challenge Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for Iran'spresidency in 2009. Mehdi Karrubi is a reformist and made his announcement Sunday, according to a report of the Associated Press. Iran has set June 12 for the election.
