KABUL, July 06 (SPA) - Afghan President Hamid Karzai hasordered an investigation into a U.S.-led coalition air strike that local officials say killed 15 civilians. Karzai ordered the Defense and Interior Ministries and abody that oversees local government to investigate, a statementfrom the presidential palace said on Sunday. "President Hamid Karzai has repeatedly emphasized the (needfor) coordination of military operations and has been deeplysaddened since learning about this incident," the statement was quoted as saying by Reuters. Both the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force(ISAF) and U.S.-led coalition forces say they take the utmostcare to avoid killing civilians and ISAF tightened proceduresfor launching airstrikes a year ago, which has had some effect.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/571367
