Gaza, December 20, SPA -- A boat docked in Gaza's fishing port on Saturday morning, carrying medical aid supplies and a Qatari delegation, DPA quoted a Palestinian official as saying. The "dignity" ship was the first successful initiative by theUS-based Free Gaza Movement to break Israel's naval blockade onGaza Strip, part of a series of sanctions Israel applied on theterritory in 2007. "The ship safely arrived, laden with humanitarian aid presentedby the Qatari people," said Jamal al-Khodary, a Palestinian lawmakerwho heads the Gaza-based Popular Committee Against the Siege. In addition to the Western campaigners, a Qatari delegationrepresenting various Arab aid organizations and journalists wereaboard, al-Khodary added.
