TEHRAN, Iran, November 22, SPA -- Iran executed a man convicted ofspying for Israel, a judiciary spokesman said Saturday. Ali Reza Jamshidi told The Associated Press that AliAshtari was hanged on Nov. 17 after being sentenced todeath on June 30 by a revolutionary court in Tehran. It wasthe country's first known conviction for espionage linkedto Israel in almost a decade.
