GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip, November 18, SPA -- Israeli tanks forged into theSouthern Gaza Strip on Tuesday, Associated Press reported. Israel and Hamas have been trading fire for two weeksafter nearly five months of relative quiet. The June 19truce is due to expire next month. The tanks, backed by a bulldozer and military jeep,rumbled about a quarter-mile (half a kilometer) deep intothe tiny seaside strip, residents and Gaza securityofficials said.
