Straubenhardt, Germany, February 19, SPA -- A fire at a refugee hostel inGermany which appeared to have been deliberately lit injured threepeople, DPA quoted police as announcing today. Residents fled the building in fear after synthetic curtains alonga row of windows in a lounge caught fire in two places. Two women from south-eastern Europe and a child, 3, fled to theroof and had to be treated for smoke inhalation after being rescued. Police said they had no idea yet who lit the fire to the hostel inStraubenhardt in south-western Germany. At the time, there were 12 people in the building, which housespeople who have applied for German political asylum.
