MWL Chief urges Muslims to confront challenges facing Nation 2

Makkah Dr. Al-Turki underlined the importance of coordination of efforts for defending the interests of the Muslim nation through formulating the joint Islamic work. He expressed sorrow and grief over the violations carried out by the Israeli authorities in Palestine, and urged the Palestinians to unify their ranks and reach a joint formula for the national work. As regards the situation in Iraq, the Secretary General warned against sectarian seditions and called on the Iraqis to reconcile and build their country. He called on the Muslim countries to support Iraqi unity and to work for ending seditions there. As regards Somalia, Dr. Al-Turki called on the Muslim government to present an initiative for tackling the Somalian problem and confronting the phenomenon of piracy. In the statement, he expressed appreciation for the efforts exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz to unite the ranks of the Muslims and solve their problems.
