Al-Quds city, December 07, SPA -- Police blocked an Israeli protest boatSunday from trying to break through Israel's naval blockade, the Associated Press reported. The boat was set to depart from the small port of Jaffa,near Tel Aviv. The journey was organized by Israeli Arab politicalparties and not-for-profit groups. Israeli Arab lawmakers were to have been among the roughly 100 passengers, and the cargo was to include basic foodsupplies, medicine, and toys and sweets for an upcomingMuslim festival Eid Al-Adha, according to Zahi Nujeidat, a spokesmanfor Israel's Islamic Movement, one of the groups behind thetrip.
