The United Nations as well as Palestinian and Israeliofficials have condemned violence by settlers since tensionsrose on Thursday in the occupied territory after Israel'seviction of settler families from a palestinian house in Hebron. Nidal Awawi told Reuters a room he had built on his roof wasblackened and destroyed by a fire set off before dawn. Therewere no casualties, he said. A spokesman for Palestinian police, Ramadan Awad, blamed thearson on Jewish settlers he said were spotted fleeing the sceneas flames engulfed the building. The U.N.
