KABUL, Afghanistan, November 23, SPA -- President Hamid Karzai's officesays the Afghan president has spoken on the phone with U.S. President-elect Barack Obama, who is promising to increase,U.S. assistance to Afghanistan. Karzai's office also says that Obama has promised thatfighting terrorism in the «region» will be a top priority, according to a report of Associated Press.
