Ousted PM's allies leads new Thai government

Bangkok, Thailand, September 24, SPA --Thailand's new government wassworn in Wednesday, with key positions going to allies ofousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra , AP reported. The new Cabinet list, announced on national television, isled by Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat, who will also bethe defense minister. Somchai replaced Samak Sundaravej, who was forced fromoffice two weeks ago by a court that ruled his hosting a TVcooking show while in office was a conflict of interest. . Despite the new government, the protesters have refused toend their month-long siege of the prime minister's officecompound. Somchai has been forced to set up temporaryoffice elsewhere.
