Aso calls for extension of anti-terror mission

TOKYO, September 24, SPA -- Japan's newly installed prime minister sayshe'll push for an extension of the country's anti-terrormission in the Indian Ocean. Taro Aso said Wednesday the mission was needed not onlyfor Japan's sake, but to protect the world from terrorism. The mission was continued this year over an oppositionveto, the Associated Press reported. Japanese ships refuel ships patrolling the Indian Ocean.
