Washington, September 23, SPA -- U.S. President George W. Bush is set to hold his first meeting with Pakistan’s new president Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday. The meeting will take place in New York, where both leaders are in town for the United Nations General Assembly. They will talk in the wake of a massive suicide attack in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, which killed at least 60 people. During the talks, Zardari “will apprise him of the blast as part of the discussions on joint efforts to wage the war on terror,” Pakistani spokesman Nadeem Kiani told AFP.“We will remain committed to working with Pakistan, and President Zardari has said the same, that he wants to work with us, as well. So I think we’ll have a good meeting,” spokeswoman Dana Perino said.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/592797
