Springfield, Illinois, August 24, SPA -- Democrat Presidential candidate Barack Obama has made his first joint appearance with his newly announced running mate Joseph Biden, Sky News reported. At a campaign rally in Springfield, Illinois, Obama formally introduced the vice presidential candidate in front of thousands of supporters. Outside the Old State Capitol where he launched his bid for the White House in February 2007, Obama said Biden "won't just make a good vice president, he will make a great vice president". He added: "He is that rare mix - for decades, he has brought change to Washington, but Washington hasn't changed him. He's an expert on foreign policy whose heart and values are rooted firmly in the middle class." In his speech, Biden said he was "proud to stand firm with next US president".--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/584500
