Iran expects progress in forthcoming nuclear talks in Geneva

ANKARA, Turkey, July 18, SPA -- Iranian Foreign Minister ManouchehrMottaki says forthcoming nuclear talks in Geneva and theparticipation of a U.S. diplomat for the first time lookpositive and he expects progress. The U.S. Undersecretary of State for Political AffairsWilliam Burns will attend the talks in Geneva on Saturday _the first time the U.S. has had such a presence _ and joincolleagues from other world powers to meet with Iran'schief nuclear negotiator, according to a report of the Associated Press. «The new negotiation process, the participation of U.S. diplomat look positive from the outset but we hope that isreflected in the talks,» Mottaki told a joint newsconference with Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/574727
