Washington, July 18, SPA -- President George W. Bush has nominated John Simon, the executive vice president of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), to be the new U.S. representative to the African Union, the White House announced Thursday. If Simon is approved by the Senate, he would replace Cindy Lou Courville.
