Al-Quds city, April 27, SPA -- International Mideast envoy Tony Blair has tapped a senior U.S. diplomat to run his office here. Blair's office says Robert Danin will serve as his newhead of mission. Danin will take a leave from his currentjob as deputy assistant secretary of state for Near EastAffairs. Announcing the appointment Sunday, Blair's office saidDanin has extensive experience working on Mideast issuesfor the State Department and the White House. Blair became a Mideast envoy last year shortly afterstepping down as British prime minister.
