Kabul , March 17 , SPA --A suicide bomber killed four NATO soldiers andthree civilians and wounded 11 others including four internationalsoldiers, when he detonated himself near a military patrol insouthern Afghanistan, police said on Monday. According to DPA, The attack took place in Gerishk district of southern Helmandprovince on Monday morning, when NATO-led International SecurityAssistance Force (ISAF) forces were conducting a foot patrol in themain market place, provincial police chief Mohammad Hussian Andewalsaid. "I can confirm that four ISAF soldiers were killed and anotherfour were wounded in the explosion today," an ISAF spokesman in Kabultold dpa. "Three innocent civilians were killed and seven others werewounded," Andewal said. A NATO-led Canadian soldier was also killed by a roadside bomb insouthern Kandahar province during a foot patrol in the area, themilitary said. The incident took place in Zabgabad village in Panjwayi district,some 35 kilometres from Kandahar city, once the stronghold of Talibanleader, on Sunday night, Canadian military defence ministry said in astatement posted at its website.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/537217
