DAMASCUS, Syria, August 05, SPA -- A Syrian foreign ministry officialsays President Bashar Assad is traveling to Turkey todiscuss bilateral and regional issues. Turkey has hosted four rounds of indirect peace talksbetween Syrian and Israeli delegations. Ankara has goodties with both countries and although no agreements havebeen struck, they have agreed to talk more. The Syrian official provided no details on Assad's Tuesdayvisit. Turkey's state-run Anatolia news agency said on Mondaythat Assad and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoganwould meet at the Aegean resort of Bodrum.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/579583
