MOGADISHU, June 08 (SPA) - Artillery battles betweenallied Somali-Ethiopian troops and insurgents killed atleast 12 people on Sunday around Mogadishu's sprawling BakaraMarket, Reuters reported. One witness said at least 20 mortar bombs exploded in theheart of Somalia's coastal capital as the rebels attackedadvancing Ethiopian forces with barrages of rockets.
