KABUL, Afghanistan, June 08, SPA -- Officials say a bomb exploded about 150 yards (meters) from a U.N. office in easternAfghanistan, wounding two people. Gen. Mohammad Ayub, the provincial police chief of Khostprovince, says a man carrying the explosives intended toput them under a bridge but they detonated early. Theattacker survived Sunday's blast but is in seriouscondition in the hospital. A woman passing by was wounded, the Associated Press reported.
