MADRID On Iraq, Crown Prince Sultan said "Iraq is an indivisible part of the Arab nation, and it is a state with a deep-rooted history and civilization. We do love and respect Iraq and and its people and share with the Iraqis their pain and aspirations for security, stability and prosperity as well as co-existence and coherence in addition to independence, sovereignty and unity of land." The Crown Prince said "the Kingdom has supported Iraq since the first day of the crises, and it did not confine its efforts in supporting the regional and international efforts calling for Iraq's stability, but it also hosted near the Holy Mosque Iraq's Ulema and Muslims with all of their schools for conducting dialogue and avoiding sedition." He lauded the Arab league's initiative to hold the first national detente conference for the Iraqis with all of their political, religious and ethnic categories. The Kingdom will be continuing in its efforts within the framework of the Arab house or at the regional and international arenas until Iraq enjoys security, stability and prosperity." On the recent Saudi military maneuvers, Crown Prince Sultan said they have come within the framework of the routine training exercises of the Saudi armed forces from one time to another."I would like to reiterate that the recent training exercises carried out in the north-western region come within the framework of the routine schedule of the ministry of defense and aviation ministry, known as trainings of Seif Al-Salam. It was planned since several months in advance. Moreover, Seif Al-Salam-6 was carried out in the southern region, and next year it will be carried out in another place." He affirmed that the Armed Forces should always be in a status of readiness. "The Saudi leadership is always keen on realizing the status of readiness and achieving coherence of all branches of the armed forces. Taking that into account, the National Guard, the Borders Guards as well as the Air, Land, Sea Forces and the Air Defense have participated in the training of Seif Al-Salam 7.
