ISLAMABAD, FEBRUARY 04, SPA -- The defense secretaries of Pakistan and India would meet in April this year to discuss different issues including the dispute over Siachen the highest battleground of the world, officials said. Islamabad and New Delhi have come closer to discuss possible solution, they said. According to them, Siachen is doable and it can be resolved. A certain formula has been given to the Indian side, which should take care of Indian concerns. Officials said that Pakistan has given a certain formula after taking into consideration the question that was raised about authenticating the present Indian position of Indian troops at a particular point. Meanwhile, Foreign Secretaries from both the countries would meet in Islamabad next month to review the progress made in the previous four rounds. The talks to discuss the technical issues related to the Pak-India bus service would be held in New Delhi on February 13 and 14. An eight member Pakistani delegation, led by Additional Secretary Telecommunication Mahmoud Abbas, would participate in the talks.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/523870
