PARIS, July 07 (SPA) - EU foreign policy chief JavierSolana said on Monday he hopes to meet Iran's chief nuclearnegotiator this month after Tehran handed over a response to anincentives package aimed at curbing its nuclear programme. Solana delivered the revised package by the United States,Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany to the IslamicRepublic last month in a fresh bid to convince Iran to haltsensitive nuclear work, Reuters reported. Iran submitted its written response on Friday and its chiefnuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili stressed "common ground" in aconversation with Solana in which he also requested a meeting. A Solana spokeswoman said the European Union official waswilling to meet Jalili. "Yes, before the end of the month, I hope, " Solana toldreporters when asked if he would meet Jalili within weeks.
