DUBAI, May 27, (SPA) - The international community shouldlend more support to Iraq by writing off its debts at aconference in Sweden this week, Deputy Prime Minister BarhamSaleh said in remarks published on Tuesday. "The world is expecting Iraq to (implement) reforms and showprogress," he told pan-Arab daily Asharq al-Awsat. "And now it is time for the outside world to fulfil itspromises through action to support it, especially in whatconcerns writing off debt and compensations the Iraqis arepaying for the crimes of Saddam Hussein." The Iraq Compact Annual Review Conference is due to open onThursday, with attendees including U.S. Secretary of StateCondoleezza Rice, U.N.
