Tehran, May 03, SPA -- Iran Saturday said it had yet to receive any newoffer by the five permanent members of the UN Security Council andGermany that would "benefit" it for cooperating with theinternational community over the nuclear issue, DPA reported. "We have not received anything in this regard yet, " ForeignMinister Manouchehr Mottaki told reporters in Tehran. An offer was worked out in a meeting of foreign ministers from sixstates on Friday in London, updating a similar move made by the groupin June 2006, and which outlined the possibilities of technicalassistance if Iran gives up its enrichment programme. "But the relevant sides are perfectly aware of the forbidden zoneand that the offer should in no way enter this zone," Mottaki said. He did not elaborate - but Iran considers any international demandto suspend its uranium enrichment programme as the "red line" andnon-negotiable. The five veto powers and Germany consider enrichment suspension asthe main condition to resume talks with Iran. Iran has always insisted that its nuclear programme is intendedpurely for civil electricity generation and in line with allinternational regulations--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/552181
