KABUL, Afghanistan, May 10, SPA -- The U.S.-led coalition says ithas killed several militants during an operation in easternAfghanistan. Interior Ministry spokesman Zemeri Bashary says thegovernment is investigating villagers' claims that threecivilians were among those killed. The Associated Press quoted a coalition statement as saying that the troops were attacked while searching compounds Friday in the Shinwar district of Nangarhar province.
