Tehran, Oct 5, SPA -- Iranian foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki said the only way for the settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue is adherence to the principles of the international atomic energy agency (IAEA) and recognition of Iran's right to usage of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. In a statement carried by the Iranian news agency today, Mottaki rejected the legitimacy of the existence of the Zionist entity, and said it is similar to the former racial regime in South Africa. This stand vis-à-vis Israel is an indivisible part of the Iranian policy, he said. On the possibility of launching an attack on Iran by Israel, Mottaki said Israel cannot do that without the assistance of America, adding that Iran is not Afghanistan or Iraq. On the situation in Iraq, Mottaki said there is no need to conclude a security agreement between Iraq and d America and the experience of the last six months has proved that the Iraqi government is more capable than America as regards enhancing the pillars of security in Iraq. It will better for America to withdraw its troops from Iraq without any delay, he added.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/595358
