WARSAW, Poland, June 21, SPA -- Polish media are reporting that anovernight attack in southeastern Afghanistan left a Polishsoldier dead and four others wounded. Military spokesman Jacek Poplawski says in an interviewwith RMF FM radio that the soldiers had been on patrol nearOtukhel when an explosion went off under their vehicle. Otukhel is about 25 miles (40 kilometers) from the Polishsoldiers' base in the province of Paktika. The spokesman said in the radio report Saturday that thewounded were being treated at a hospital and were not inlife-threatening condition. The soldier killed wasidentified as 2nd Lt.
