BAGHDAD, March 15 , SPA --A suicide bomber detonated an explosivesvest at a checkpoint on the Iraq-Syrian border, killing aninterpreter and wounding six others, ap quoted the U.S. military as sayingon Saturday. Another interpreter, two coalition soldiers, two customspersonnel and two others with the U.S. Department of theArmy were injured in the explosion, the military said. The incident occurred Friday at the entry point inRabiyah, 120 kilometers (75 miles) north of Mosul. Elsewhere in Iraq, a suicide car bomber attacked an Iraqiarmy checkpoint in Tikrit, 130 kilometers (80 miles) northof Baghdad, killing one Iraqi soldier and wounding nineothers.
