DHARMSALA, India , March 16 , SPA --The Dalai Lama says there shouldbe an international investigation into the crackdownagainst protests in Tibet, AP reported. The Tibetan spiritual leader says he wants a «respectedinternational organization ... (to) find out what thesituation is in Tibet and what is the cause.» Speaking to journalists Sunday in Dharmsala, the base ofhis government-in-exile in northern India, he said there isa problem in Tibet «whether the (Chinese) government thereadmits it or not.» His comments come after protests by Buddhist monks againstChinese rule in Tibet turned violent, leading to acrackdown by Chinese authorities in the region's capital,Lhasa.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/536930
