Pristina, February 13, SPA -- In comments coinciding with news that the UNSecurity Council would meet Thursday to discuss the Kosovo issue,Kosovar Prime Minister Hashin Thaci said Wednesday that the UN nolonger had any say about the future of the breakaway Serbianprovince, according to DPA. In the capital Pristina, Thaci was reacting to the call madeearlier in the day by Serbia for an emergency meeting of the SecurityCouncil on the Kosovo issue. "The Kosovo issue has left the building of the Security Council,"Thaci said. A decision about a declaration of Kosovo's independence had beendiscussed with the international administrators for Kosovo and would"very quickly" be published, he added. All the preparations had beenconcluded and the future state already had a flag and constitution. His remark came amid reports - not yet officially confirmed - thatthe Kosovo parliament would declared independence on Sunday orMonday. Almost simultaneous with Thaci's remarks was the news from NewYork that the UN Security Council had set a meeting on Thursday tohear Serbia's plea against Kosovo declaring its independence.
