Washington, March 8, SPA -- U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will host a State Department reception on Monday in honor of member states of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), the State Department announced Friday.“The reception will be an opportunity to introduce the United States’ new special envoy to the OIC, Sada Cumber,” who will be introduced to the OIC delegates by Rice, the department said in a statement. President George W. Bush last week announced the appointment of Cumber, a Muslim businessman from Texas. One of Cumber’s first official duties will be to attend the 11th annual OIC conference to be held in Dakar, Senegal, the statement said.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/534250
