KABUL, Afghanistan, January 07, SPA -- A clash between NATO troops and Taliban insurgents in southern Afghanistan left two civilians dead and five others wounded, the alliance said in a statement Monday. The troops battled militants after a roadside bomb attackon NATO's International Security Assistance Force soldierson Friday near Tirin Kot, the capital of Uruzgan province,the statement said. On Saturday, ISAF soldiers returned to the location of theclash and discovered two dead civilians and five otherswounded. «The dead are a child and an adult; the injured includedthree children,» the statement said. «It is not clear howthey sustained their injuries.» There were no ISAF casualties in the clash, the Associated Press reported.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/515393
