BEIJING, December 27, SPA -- Japan's prime minister Yasuo Fukuda, will start later today an official visit to China. He will hold talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao on Friday as part of a four-day trip that comes amid steadily growing economic ties. Fukuda will also tour Tianjin, Jinan and Qufu in eastChina before returning home Sunday. «I will do everything in my power to build goodrelations,» Fukuda told reporters before departing forBeijing. «I plan to hold candid discussions,» he said.«I am prepared to relay my views, as well as listen totheirs.» A senior Japanese government official said the countrieswould sign agreements on increasing youth exchanges andcooperating in science and technology to combat climatechange, according to a report of the Associated Press.
