King and Sarkozy co-chairs official Saudi-French talks

Riyadh, January 14, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and French President Nicolas Sarkozy co-chaired the official Saudi-French talks here last night. At the beginning of the meeting, King Abdullah adorned Sarkozy the medal of King Abdulaziz, which is awarded to the leaders of the world. Sarkozy expressed appreciation for awarding him the medal. The official talks covered aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France and means of cementing the strategic partnership between the two countries in all domains. The talks also covered the Palestinian problem and the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state on their homeland in line with the road map, the Arab peace initiative and the resolutions of the international legitimacy. The two leaders reviewed the current situation in Lebanon and the Arab efforts which are internationally supported to help the Lebanese people elect their President.
