Beirut, Dec 15, SPA -- Lebanese Premier Fu'ad al-Siniora received here today Saudi ambassador to Lebanon Dr Abdulaziz Khoja. They exchanged views on issues pertaining to the developments of the situation in Lebanon, notably the ongoing contacts to solve the problem of electing a new president for Lebanon. Following the meeting Dr Khoja said 'we are awaiting the session of the election on Monday'. He hoped that the session will successfully reach an agreement and elect the new president of Lebanon, and added that the Lebanese are in need on such an election. On the possibility of practicing an Arab pressure for electing the Lebanese new president, he said 'such an Arab movement is existing, and we have been making contacts with all parties'. Asked about the delegation of the Lebanese opposition to Michel Aun to conduct negotiations with the majority, Dr Khoja said 'we don't interfere in that matter, and if there is a necessity for meeting Aun, we have been meeting with all.'Dr Khoja underlined the importance of electing a new Lebanese president without any delay so the situation in the country will be stable.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/509498
