He commended the role of the Kingdom and its efforts at reconciliation for a number of regional issues such as the situation in Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine and developments of the Iranian nuclear issue. He said "We have benefited most from Saudi Arabia's viewpoints and initiatives in this respect. We consider very significant, the existing strong working relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on these issues." Asked about the forthcoming peace conference in the United States of America, he said "We are working diligently to make full use of this opportunity by all parties for this conference." "The Saudis have worked more than many others, in recent years, in order to get to where we are today ... While we agree with their interest that has significant impact on this summit, we believe that the Saudi participation will have a basic role in helping to achieve the success of the conference."--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/495289
