BAGHDAD, Aug 04, SPA -- A U.S. Marine was killed during combat operations in Iraq's western Anbar province, the military said Saturday. The Marine was assigned to Multi-National Force-West and died Thursday, the U.S. military said in a statement. The victim's name was withheld pending familynotification. At least 3,664 members of the U.S. military have diedsince the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003,according to an Associated Press count.
