Israel and Hezbollah conclude body, prisoner swap

Beirut, October 15, SPA -- Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah movementconcluded a swap on Monday, with the Jewish state handing over thebodies of two Hezbollah fighters and a prisoner for the remains of anIsraeli man, according to DPA. "The exchange took place in Naqoura at 1537 GMT," a source at theInternational Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said. He said the two Hezbollah fighters died during the 33-day conflictin southern Lebanon last summer between the Shiite militant group andIsrael. The dead Israeli man was an Ethiopian who drowned in 2005 andwhose body was swept away toward the Lebanese coast. According to a Lebanese security source, a Lebanese prisoner wasalso handed by the Israelis to the ICRC. "The released man is Hassan Akeel," the source said.
