Tehran, August 26, SPA -- Iran on Sunday hoped that the latest agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) would also lead to a breakthrough in the nuclear negotiations with European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana. "The agreement proved Iran's commitment and goodwill in thenuclear dispute and enabled a logical trend and sincerity for findinga diplomatic settlement," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesmanMohammad-Ali Hosseini told reporters in Tehran. "I hope this trend will also continue in the talks with Solana,"the spokesman said, but refrained from disclosing the date and venue of the next round of talks between Solana and Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani, according to a report of DPA news agency. Iran and the IAEA agreed last Tuesday on a plan of action whichaims not only to remove all technical ambiguities by the IAEA overIran's nuclear projects but also prepare grounds for political talksbetween Larijani and Solana.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/477537
