Jeddah, June 25 , SPA -- Polish President Lech Kaczynski has described the official visit of the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz which began today as "historic and important" to Poland. "We are awaiting the upcoming visit, which is the first official one by a King of Saudi Arabia, with utmost concern." The Polish President said the Saudi-Polish relations have surged ahead in recent years to include political, economical, cultural, scientific, security and parliamentary aspects. "The upcoming visit will boost the bilateral relations further and enhance these ties in every direction," said the Polish President in an interview published today by the Arabic Daily newspaper "Okaz". "We consider Saudi Arabia as our friend and ally. We are willing to enhance coordination and understanding in political fields to reach peace and security in the Middle East, He added. Kaczynski said that he highly appreciated the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Arab and Islamic World and its keenness on the stability and peace in the region and the rest of the world. The Polish President said that Poland is fully backing the revival of the Arab Peace Initiative and the peace process in the region which was introduced by the Saudi leadership. Commenting on war on Terrorism, the polish President said it is not proper to link it with any religion. In this context, he said Poland considers the efforts of Saudi Arabia as "massive" and affirmed that these are recognized by all. "Saudi Arabia managed to eliminate the terrorist infrastructure." He considered the custodian of the Two holy Mosques' directive to separate the Polish conjoined twins at his personal expense as "a noble gesture."--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/462124
