BEIRUT, September 25, SPA -- Lebanon's parliament on Tuesday put off a session to elect a new president until next monthafter the legislature failed to muster enough lawmakersbecause of an Hezbollah-led opposition boycott. The announcement was made by a parliamentary official inthe chamber after the bell rang three times to call thelawmakers into session. Lawmakers from the pro-governmentmajority were in the chamber for 30 minutes, but manyopposition members, who gathered in the building, stayed inthe hallways.
