New York, September 24, SPA -- The Arab Peace Initiative Committee held here yesterday a coordination meeting at the level of foreign ministers in the presence of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Saudi Foreign Minister and Head of the Saudi delegation to the meetings of the 62nd session of the UN's general assembly. The meeting was also attended by Abdel-Salam Fayyad, the Head of the Palestinian emergency government. The meeting aimed at formulization of a unified Arab stand in the light of the outcome of the recent meeting of the Arab ministerial council vis-à-vis the US call to convene an international peace conference. The committee of the Arab Peace Initiative is scheduled to hold a meeting with the Quartet Committee on the fringes the meetings of this current session of the UN General Assembly.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/485330
