COLOMBO, September 11, SPA -- Sri Lanka's navy said Tuesday it sank three Tamil Tiger weapons smuggling ships, nearlydestroying what remained of the separatists' smugglingfleet. Navy commander Vice-Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda said from Monday morning until Tuesday morning navy ships off thesoutheastern coast of Sri Lanka fired on and sank threerebel ships in separate incidents, leaving them with onlyone smuggling ship out of a fleet that once numbered 10.
