PRINCE NAIF POINTED OUT THAT A WORKING TEAM WILL BE FORMED TO TACKLE THIS ISSUE WHICH WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE MEETING OF THE GCC INTERIOR MINISTERS NEXT NOVEMBER. HE SAID THE KINGDOM HAS SIGNED AGREEMENTS WITH OMAN AND THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (UAE) FOR TRAVEL OF CITIZENS CARRYING ONLY IDENTITY CARDS, AND THE KINGDOM WILL BE READY TO SIGN SIMILAR AGREEMENTS WITH OTHER GCC MEMBER STATES. PRINCE NAIF ALSO REITERATED THE KINGDOM'S KEENNESS TO WORK WITH ALL GCC COUNTRIES FOR ENHANCING FURTHER THE SECURITY COOPERATION. ON THE SECURITY SITUATION IN IRAQ, PRINCE NAIF SAID THE GCC COUNTRIES ARE KEEN ON ENABLING IRAQ TO PRESERVE ITS INDEPENDENCE AND UNITY, AND TO PLAY ITS ROLE AS AN ARAB AND MUSLIM COUNTRY. 'IT IS HIGH TIME FOR THE ARAB COUNTRIES NOTABLY IRAQ'S NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES TO SHOULDER THEIR RESPONSIBILITY IN THIS RESPECT," HE SAID. ON THE IRANIAN NUCLEAR ISSUE, PRINCE NAIF SAID THIS ISSUE WILL BE VIEWED FROM THE SECURITY ANGLE. ON THE SECURITY COORDINATION AMONG THE GULF STATES, HE SAID 'WE ARE KEEN ON THE ACTIVATION OF THE COMPREHENSIVE SECURITY AGREEMENT AND REVISION OF THE CURRENT STRATEGY', HE SAID, NOTING THAT SOME COUNTRIES HAVE NOT YET CARRIED OUT THE CURRENT SECURITY STRATEGY BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT YET APPROVED IT.
