Kiev, April 17, SPA -- Ukraine's supreme constitutional court on Tuesdaybegan consideration of a dispute between parliament and PresidentViktor Yushchenko over new elections and the division of power in theformer Soviet republic. A pro-Europe politician supporting market reform, Yushchenkoearlier this month ordered parliament dissolved, arguing the rulingcoalition had formed a legislative majority in violation ofconstitutional statute, reported the dpa. Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich, a pro-Russia politicianfavouring government support to industrial tycoons, has led thelegislature's outright refusal to stop work. The unresolved conflicthas left the country in a constitutional crisis since April 2.
